Laver (1989), says that the new conceptions of thought, stemming from the Enlightenment, and artistic trends fundamentally mark the eighteenth century. The picture of the moment is an idle aristocracy, who led an extremely luxurious life. The image of Queen Marie Antoinette of France, is closely associated with this period, due to their contribution to changes in behavior and style of the era, with their extravagance. Can be considered the greatest patrons of culture time. The women's clothing, this second half of the eighteenth century were so exaggerated that the volume and weight of clothing made it difficult to walk. The skirts were extremely bulky and very extended laterally, the upper body was tuned by the use of corsets, but left the shoes on display.
Slowly the aesthetics of this fashion disappeared and was replaced by its delicacy violent years of the French Revolution, the revolt of the people against the government and shaped France and became the country as we know it today. Among the legacies of this revolution is the food because the cooks of the palaces had to look for jobs in popular restaurants, making the refined cuisine win the streets.
